Weekly Update

Alan, me and Serena with our newest cousin "Angel"

Me and my Niece Leila Saturday.

The sushi layout on Friday night. There is nothing to eating raw fish. Making your own is very easily done....

Hmmm, This is what it has come to isn't it?

A weekly update for now. One of these days I'll be more inclined to write like I once did.

For now I'll spit it out in bullets.

1) Friday Night was Sushi night. We received some FRESH Yellow fin Tuna and couldn't resist.

2) Saturday? My cousin flew into town and we went to an oyster roast/chili cook off complete with three kegs of beer. I wound up at another keg party and then back to our house. I think our last house guest left around 2 am. I managed to put a big ass scratch on my golf cart driving it on the beach! UGH! Wild ass night to say the least. The band was fantastic.

3) Sunday? Hmmm... We went to Nags Head to christen my newest cousin. Sitting in church was a real treat after the shenanigans we pulled Saturday night. We came home, had dinner and....one of our guests received a call that her house had been struck by a car. We all scrambled and went over to her house. Nothing says OMG like seeing a car stuck on your home...

Living with me is not easy...

Monday? I Sent my cousin back home and after work I visited my friend who could die any minute. On the drive back from the hospital I heard a news report that one of my friends killed herself after a police standoff. Tragic. Her Fiance stood her up yesterday at the Justice of the Peace and it was the last straw. She shot at him and then eventually turned the gun on herself. The news fails to mention this little factoid however. I'm very shook up about this honestly.

Today? I'm just remembering how precious life is. I voted this morning and got a hug and kiss from the Senator's wife. I banged his ears on Saturday because I'm getting called for FEDERAL jury duty in 2012.

We have a post election party tonight at the clubhouse.

At the rate things are going summer will be here tomorrow....

UGH!

Peace be with you,

Bobby

  1. once again, I envy all your parties (I think). But you should TRY to slow down... at least just a little bit *wink*

  2. Nah, I disagree with Dorrie; don't slow down. Young at heart is young everywhere it counts. Besides, those parties sound fun! And homemade sushi? Yummy. I've never tried to make it on my own. Is it really as easy as you say?

  3. Your life could be a stand-alone reality show. Sounds like you see it all....the good, the bad, and the ugly.

  4. PARTY ANIMAL!!! We'll take the dribs and drabs you give us. Love sushi. Nice spread. Did you make it all with the fresh fish? Impressive. Usually buy ours. We have a sushi bar VERy close. They close for the winter. Welcome to Massachusetts.

  7. I'm so sorry about your losses Bobby. That's very hard...I love sushi and have made it before, you're right, it's not hard to make, but I think it's hard to make it well. Hope things get better for you. If partying helps you through, cheers to that!

  8. The ups and downs of a life fully lived. Thanks for the update. I understand being so hectic/busy that posts just somehow don't make it. Ups AND downs. I think I might have an inkling. BTW I am looking after summer for you.
