Wednesday Shenanigans

She took my Taylor Acoustic and now she wants to take this Custom Shop Stratocaster and my Mesa Boogie Amp. The hits keep on coming. The guitar was born Sept 17th 1994. The Color is Dick Dale Chartreuse Sparkle. Yuk...Sounds awesome however...Thank Science she didn't come after my PRS guitars.

Hmmm,

Mostly an update so I'll spit it out in bullets.

1) Friday we had live music at the clubhouse. The artist was visiting her father from NYC and I booked her. I sang two songs with her. Her daddy came and played with her the first set. We later went to two after parties and got in bed by 3am. UGH!

2) Saturday - We had a Halloween progressive party. We dressed up as the Spartan Cheerleaders from SNL and even had 7 different cheers down cold. Our friends would blow a whistle and we would break out into a skit for 30-45 seconds while everyone watched. Hilarious. Two more after parties made bedtime around 2am...

3) Sunday - Finished working on the rental and will be glad when they move in tomorrow.

Monday - 219 Trick or treaters. This is down from last year at 287. We get blown away every year and I love it.

4) One of my friends is on death's door. This is the worst death I have ever witnessed. Imagine having all of your faculties but having your body shut down all around you. One bullet to the back of my head please...I would beg for it. Those Vietnam veterans are uber tough. Pray for mercy. His name is Bob. I'm gonna miss him terrible.

5) Swimming laps today.

6) We (Our neighborhood social committee) have an Oyster roast on Saturday and 260 people have RSVP'd. We have live outdoor music a massive chili cook off and more food than you can shake a stick at. Gonna be crazy! This gets bigger and bigger every year.

6) My cousin is flying his plane to Norfolk on Saturday to join us and will also join me going to the OBX on Sunday.

7) Sunday we are traveling to the Outer Banks to see my other cousin who just had her 3rd baby. We are going to the christening. Between you and me if the surf is up I will see them at the after party. She will understand. SORRY! I will show up once the party starts. Church services don't do it for me. Now, if you want to come to my church then you better come to the beach with me.

8)My new Android phone is very different than my Iphone4. I now have both. Learning the android system takes an adjustment but is crucial for my business. Frankly, the Galaxy s2 is much faster and the battery doesn't drain if you manage it correctly. The iphone4 is the bomb for media however.

That was a lot...*Whew*

Oh wow! My daughter is coming from Fairfax to Join us! Hooray!

Peace be with you,

Bobby

  3. Eve - Always a friggin' nuthouse around here. I actually have a lot more in between all this activity with meetings and late night hospital visits...I'm losing my mind. My work day is mild in comparison which is a good thing.

Dorrie - Snap out of it already! We gotta get'cha in the spirit of whatever season is available.

  8. Very sorry about bullet #4. That's the most horrible thing to experience in life (loss, suffering - when other people's lives keep moving on). Where's the Spartan Cheerleaders pictures?

  11. Bob's situation sounds a bit like ALS, I had a friend die of that last year. It was terrible. Bless him and you for going through it with him.

I gained a new appreciation for being alive this summer, myself. My friends, family and docs tell me I had those Grand Mal Seizures, but I absolutely ZERO memory of them.

So is the Android surpassing the iphone? My daughter Abby was telling me the other day that iphone 5 is going to have a laser keyboard. Wow would that help me!
