Hit the deck

Well, my buddy Bob finally let go and moved on to the next dimension.

Life had been good for him over these last several years. Living on machines must have been pure hell. I can't imagine having all my ability to think only to be locked up on a ventilator and fed through a tube.

I lost two folks last week. One killed herself tragically on Monday (horrible story complete with police standoff) afternoon and Bob simply peeled off.

This week? I have two funeral services to attend.

I think I'll take a walk on the beach after my workout today. The temps are in the low 70's for the next few days....

I am reminded of how much I despise fall and winter.

Yes of course I like the different seasons, I just like to skip the crappy ones...Fall and winter are not my friend...

Peace be with you,

Bobby

  1. After living as you described, I beleive passing is a blessing. Sorry for your losses.

I really think we need to ink a deal, Bobby: I'll send you my 105 degree summer days, you send me your autumn low 70's. Good? ;)

  2. so sorry for your losses, but as Scot said, sometimes passing is better then staying around. My mom (92) is still hanging in there... not on equipment but there's not really much of "mom" left (Alzheimers) :-(

    {{{hugs}}}

    P.S. I like Scot's "deal" ;-)

  3. Hi Bobby! I like Scott's way of thinking. "passing is a blessing" when there was so much pain and suffering. ((hugs)) to you for your friends passing from Earth.

Yay, walk on the beach, perfect perfect ! I think alot when I walk on the beaches.

I "despise" winter but I lovesss Fall !

  4. I am so sorry Bobby. I am in the middle of the same storm of losing a loved one. I am not sure what my new 'normal' is this Monday. We will persevere. We will look forward to the spring and summer. Today I am going for a run outside. It has been the first in weeks. I can't wait. I love you my friend.

PS I hope to have my new blog going soon. But I have been writing a lot lately in my old one.

  5. Scott - I would make that deal happen so quickly it may make your head spin. Surfing in the 70's is freezing but in the 100's is ideal!

Westy - That is the truth

Sunny - Oh I even appreciate a good fall day now and againBUT I run out of sunlight too quickly and then of course it just gets colder from that day forth...

Linda - I STILL do not get the feed when you post on your journal...UGH!!!!

  8. I'm sorry, Bobby, for your loss.

(Isn't that what people are pose to say?) in order to comfort? Hm..shit-stix,I know little it will do other than the fact one is here with you, which is always comforting for me when you do the same:)So, let it be known I'm here with the others to give you a nice-big-warm-hug.xo
